Makeup help for a 12 year old (girl) going into 7th grade.?
I am going into Junior High next year. I just got out of an Intermediate (middle school) for grades 6th and 5th, my town is weird. Now I am going into Junior High. I just started seriously wearing makeup, and I am trying to experiment with it. Please dont say im too young. I AM JUST STARTING (not to be rude). What brands do you suggest, and wht colors. I have shoulder length (seriously thick. its not relaxed but it is flat ironed.) black hair, brown eyes, copper skin (i am african american). Again, please tell me what brands, colors, and looks you would suggest. Tips are welcome. And fashion tips too, i already know wht is in style, but I want to know wht are some trends. I like to mix trends with my own style. Thanks for reading the question, im so sry for the long details. THANKS!

okay... listen. i went through the same thing.first, start with the foundation , but only if you need it. make sure youwash your face every night so your pors dont grow heuge and you foundation will look alot better. if you use foundation, use mineral foundation like "Mineral powder" from maybelline. if you dont need the foundation then usesome consealer. just put a light shade consealer under your eyes to make it look like you are away, shining and it will make you look hot! Then, for the eyes it all depends on your eye color. but dont wear the same eye shadow every day. it can go with your eyes of match your out fit. brown eyeshadow goes with all eye colors. start out with a neutral color on all of your eye lid all of the way up to the brow bone. then, my personal favorite thing to do is take a fluffy... say 249 mac brush. put a darker color such as brown or what ever color your shirt accent color is. that means if you are wearing a pink shirt with say blue words on it take your 249 brush, dit it into some blu and rub in circular and winsshield wiper motions in your crease as musch as desiered. i like buying pallets, thats like a big thing of makeuip that has a lot of eye shadow colors. i love using loose pigments. they are in little jars and they are very bright. you can get them from glam coutore. you can buy glam coutore make up from www.makeupbyjennise.com, i might have spelled her name wrong but you can look her up on youtube, she has some great makeup tutorials. then, take maybelline mascara and put it on. it is in a little pink tube. MASCARA IA THE MOST IMPORTANT! your eyes will compleatly change once you put the mascara on. so if you kind of mess up with they eyeshadow, just put 2 coats of the mascara on. they take a neutral or light pink blush and pout it on the cheak bones. i like a gold or light pink lipgloss, not lipstick at school! tacky! i hope thisd helped!

First of all, you sound gorgeous! Secondly, I didn't start wearing makeup until I was 18, so don't feel weird. But anyway, I guess times are changing. For young, teenage skin I definitely recommend Neutrogena cosmetics. They are dermatologist recommended and oil-free so they won't clog pores and cause acne.
Foundation: Definitely do not start with any heavy foundations. Do use a foundation with an SPF of at least 15 in it. The best Neutrogena formulations are Mineral Sheers Liquid Makeup (SPF 20) or Healthy Skin Enhancer (SPF 20). Your color is probably Honey/110 in the first and Medium-to-Olive/60 in the second.
Concealer: You don't really need concealer unless you have dark eye circles or major scarring or acne on your face. If you do, then apply your concealer before foundation and blend it in well with clean fingers. I recommend that you use Neutrogena 3-in-1 Concealer For Eyes (SPF 20) in Medium/15 for your eyes and use Healthy Skin Smoothing Stick in Medium/15 for the rest of your face.
Blush/Bronzer: Skip this. As a teen, you don't really need this. It will make you look too made up.
Powder: Skip this unless you have oily skin. If so, then use Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil-Free Pressed Powder in Medium/03 and lightly pat it on the oily areas of your face. You can carry this compact with you in your schoolbag/purse to touch up your makeup throughout the day and control oil. You can also just use a piece of toilet paper or Kleenex tissue to remove oil throughout the day.
Eyes: Skip the eyeshadow. Skin the eyeliner. I think it's still too early for that. But, you can definitely do a LITTLE mascara, emphasis on the itsy bitsy. I recommend Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara in Black/02. Only put on 1 coat on your top lashes. Start at the bottom of your top lashes and use a side-to-side motion to lightly wiggle the mascara wand up through your lashes.
Lips: Use a good chapstick and that's it. For special occasions, you can use a sheer lipgloss like Neutrogena Moisture Shine Lip Soother. You'll have to play around with the colors, but don't go for anything too light and neon-y or anything too mature and dark. Stick to neutral, natural colors that complement your skin tone.
Overall, as a preteen, you should go for the natural look or the no-makeup-makeup look. Use minimal makeup to let your youthful and natural beauty shine through. Oh, and the #1 secret to maintaining healthy skin is to always remove all your makeup before you sleep at night.

MAC is pretty awesome. Make sure you moisturize before applying foundation. Depending on your skin type you may need something really thick or not. But foundation tends to dry it out, so make sure to apply something. I also use a brush I got from MAC which gives, as the saleslady put it, "that airbrushed look." It works really, really well.
Then, blinc mascara is the best. The absolute best. It is like painting your lashes... it doesn't come off unless you wash it. I never have dark circles under my eyes like I used to.
As for eyeshadows, again, MAC is really cool and has a ton of different colors. You can just apply those with your finger.
Oh, I also use Benefit cheek tint in a shade of pink. You're darker, so you wouldn't want to use the same kind.
What I so is go to sephora.com and browse around. I click on the products I'm interested in and read the reviews. If the reviews are really bad, I won't buy it. I only buy products with really good reviews. Plus, what's great about Sephora is you can take back products if they don't work for you. So can you buy something, try it for a couple days, and if you just don't like it, take it back for a full refund.
Makeup is a lot of fun, enjoy it!

I honestly wouldn't suggest anything more than a little bit of mascara and some lip gloss. I think anything more than that would look a bit over the top. You're young and I'm sure you have beautiful skin, there is no reason to cover that up. If you're dead set on wearing eyeshadows, stick with warm nude tones.

Alright, well I won't say you're too young since you asked us not too. But it is true that you're too young. Not because you're not mature enough, but because people your age typically don't have a need for make up. Your skin is usually still so clear and flawless because you may not have gone through puberty yet.
Of course, that was a very one-sided, biased thing of me to say, because not everyone's skin and bodies function the same.
However, if you are going to use makeup, just please don't pile it on. Make sure you don't have a base line (that's when you put foundation on your face, and you can see the obvious color difference between your face and your neck. it shows on your jaw line and it looks really stupid). And don't pile on eye shadow or eye liner. We used to make fun of the kids who did that, even in 7th grade. If you pile on eye shadow, especially blue, it looks really really dumb, and I will guarantee you will get made fun of. So please avoid that. Just use it in moderation. Make yourself look beautiful, not slutty.
Remember that kids your age are really conscious about what their makeup looks like, so they tend to pile it on, thinking it looks great. But it doesn't look good on ANYONE when they pile on makeup. PLEASE put it on lightly, or it will look bad. As long as you are modest about your makeup, you should look beautiful.
Good luck!

Makeup ideas would be maybeline they have great color toning makeup to go with all types of skins. eyeliner is very in at my middel school and i wear it too. The scene look is in fashion meaning your makeup should look either really dark or really bright like neon because you can get alot of attention with the guys. mascare is very important along with eyeshadow dont put on lipstick because ive seen the lower grades wear t and it honestly looks pathetic. lol not to be mean. Dont make yourself look like a clown you will get picked on . Fashion trends shoul be like extremely neon colors they have at hot topic and pacsun or more of the beachy tight clothes at hollister thats what i wear . hope i helped /

ok for your eyes you should use colours such as light browns, greens and yellows. for your skin you should use a tinted moisturiser and a nice bronzer to make you look radiant all over. keep with clear lip glosses so you don't look too made up.
