Is there anyone out there with scar tissue growing on the nerve in their spine? No other symptons thanks.?
Fused spine is of no interest to me. The only interest is someone with scar tissue growing on the nerve in their spine at lower lumbar region 4 and 5. Need to compare notes.

I am not sure that I fully understand your question. Scar tissue only forms after some stimulation such as an injury or surgery. This can only be diagnosed by CAT scan, CT Mylo gram, or an MRI. The medical term for removing the scar tissue is called "Lysis of Adhesions" This involves injecting hypertonic saline in conjunction with steroids and analgesics at the scarring point. This is done with florescope assistance or a C Arm. The treatment is not always effective, but it is worth a try. It gave me about a six month relief from the pain.pp

I have Arthritis and Disc prolapse and I assumed they would operate, but it seems not. Instead they have me on Fentanyl transdermal Patches and Lyrica. I have read that they do not tend to operate on the back anymore, why I do not know, but I am now wondering if it is because of this scar tissue build up or what they call 'adhesions?' The Fentanyl helps with the everyday pain along with the Lyrica for the nerve pain, however when the Disc does whatever it does, last time I collapsed on the floor, out cold for three hours. Thankfully when I came back I still had my legs, bowel, bladder and so did not need to use the wheelchair. In March the disc did what it does and I was in a back brace and wheelchair. I doubt they will operate now, but the new drug treatments should keep you pain free.
