What are the best MAC purple eyeshadows?
I've got brown eyes and light beigy skin (somewhat like jessica alba's). My makeup style is very simple - I like color but not too much. I was hoping to get your opinions on MAC's purple eyeshadow and what you think would be best for me. (I already have star violet and graphology) Here's what I've been thinking:
- "Creme de violet" (i like how it's the mid purple color and a frost)
- "Fig 1" (seems about the same as "creme de violet" but more bold since it's a matte)
- "Sketch": (I heard this was nice darker kind of purple that would go good w. a smokey for day and night - is it too much?)
- "Nocturnelle" (this looks pretty...almost a more "vibrant" version of "graphology" - it's not super dark, right?)
- "Parfait amour": (kinda skeptical about it b/c it's a blu-ish purple...)
- "sattelite dreams": (heard it was cute but not really into it...heard it doesn't have much color to it)
- "purple haze" (kinda sketchy about this too b/c it seems to "purple-ee")

sketch and nocturnelle are darker colors nocturnelle is really dark. Parfait amour is a nice light purple love it

For your colouring, I'd pick Nocturnelle - it's actually not that dark and if you apply it with a blending brush (like MAC's 217) you can sheer it out. You can also blend it with a pinky tone on the lid to play up the violet tones in it.
You could also definitely pull off Parfait Amour - it's a lovely blue-toned purple - if you pair it with Beautiful Iris it actually plays up the purple a lot more and is a nice and easy look to do.
Both of the above are good, just slightly different!

I have brown eyes and Grape Pigment is by far my favorite purple put out by MAC. It's not a pan eyeshadow, it's a loose pigment that comes in a jar, so if you're ok with that definitely give it a try :)

Try a mac pigment with a damp brush and you will go crazy over the look that it will give you. I will tell you exactly which pigment in detail later tonight, as I am a freelance lash/makeup technician as part of my side hustle. here is a link to the MAC website. Trax is really pretty, not too purpley but good enough, has some gold sparkle to it.

avon has some really wonderful colors in purple that are not as expensive as mac u may check it out
