How many years do you think it would take mankind to create this much atmospheric pollution?(amazing pic)?
http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/NaturalHazards/vi...
I mean how many Toyota's would you need to produce this much exhaust?
I know its a natural occurance.
If man creates it you consider it pollution.
If its a natural occurance you consider it not to be pollution. Interesting.
My point is massive amounts of Co2 have been pumped into the atmosphere on a regular basis since the begining of time. Mankinds impact on climate chnage is minimal.

That is a freakin' awesome picture! I think we could all drive SUVs 100 miles a day for the next 100 years and still not do that kind of damage to the atmosphere. Maybe we should start making volcanoes buy carbon credits, lol.

Where is this pollution you are referring to? That stuff in the photo is all part of the earth's natural cycles.
Edit: From you "My point is massive amounts of Co2 have been pumped into the atmosphere on a regular basis since the begining of time. Mankinds impact on climate chnage is minimal."
And a quote straight of the USGS (you know the people who actually know what they are talking about in this regard)
“volcanoes on land and under the sea release a total of about 200 million tonnes of CO2 annually.”
“the global fossil fuel CO2 emissions for 2003 tipped the scales at 26.8 billion tonnes.”

It's alarming many scientist now. The volcanic cases are very, very, concentrated. Airliners are telling pilots to avoid this zone at all costs. Not just from its toxicity, but because pilots cannot see around it. Actually its NOT pollution, these are very natural gases and high concentrations of CO2 being emitted from the earth. What's very interesting will be the studies from its aftermath whenever it stops. Also, they are thinking there may be more popping up in the pacific in the future. It's scary because this is phenomena that their is literally nothing we can do nothing about. I am quessing it would take 2-3 years of heavy fossil fuel consumption to maybe come close to this. All it takes is just one super volcanic explosion to wipe out most of the human population. There is one that may go off anytime in the next 500 years in the U.S.
