Are there any Steam or Diesel-Electric passenger trains in the U.K.?
In North America, almost all trains are diesel-electric, but in the U.K. almost all trains are electric, as far as I ca gather.
Are there any diesel-electric or even steam trains left in the U.K. in regular service or on scenic tourist routes?

You are incorrect about almost all trains are electric in the UK. The main routes to Scotland via the East and West Coast are electrified, but only as far as Glasgow and Edinburgh. All services north of those cities are by diesel electric. In the south of the country a large area is electrified on the third rail system, but services to the far west (Somerset, Devon and Cornwall) remain in the hands of, mainly, HST units which are diesel electric, as are all services to Wales. Services on the Midland Main Line to Leicester/Nottingham/Sheffield area are also diesel. All Cross-Country services, i.e. those that serve major cities without passing through London, are diesel. There are many 'sparks gaps' where electric trains cannot run, most notably between the cities of York and Leeds.
There are many steam hauled heritage railways and regular steam excursions on the main line. Some are run on a regular basis, such as the summer Jacobite service in Scotland between Fort William and Mallaig. Within the past year a newly built (i.e not restored) steam locomotive, Tornado, has been completed and regularly runs on the main line

The HST trains which run e.g. on the London (Paddington) to Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Penzance and South Wales (Cardiff, Swansea etc.) are diesel-electric. So are the later type trains like 'Adelante' and 'Virgin Voyager'.
Many freight locos are diesel-electric, e.g. the class 66.
Steam trains make a regular appearence on the main network. A brand-new steam locomotive, the 'Tornado', based on a 1940s 'Pacific' locomotive, has recently been completed and has been making excursion trips on the main line.
Other, restored steam locos also make regular trips.
