When do I buy books for school?
I'm going to Penn State and my mother has been harping on me to buy books but I keep telling her that I don't buy yet. I have all my classes scheduled and such but my arrival day isn't for 2 months. A little help please?

Contact the bookstore and ask when they begin to stock the shelves for fall semester. It will be a first come first serve basis on used books. You can save yourself alot of money buying used textbooks, considering one text runs around 100.00 each these days. Do not wait, or they will be gone! Good luck to you! (college professor)

You don't really have to buy books until the semester starts unless you're in like an English class that requires you to have books read before class starts.
Heck, I knew a lot of people who didn't buy books until a few weeks after the semester started and some people who never even bought any books.
I personally bought my books within a couple days of the semester starting.
