i gave my boss a letter telling her how unfairly I think I have been treated. Was this a dumb move?
ok, i wrote the letter, i left it on her desk and i don't know how she reacted yet or anything.
first, she called me one day and accidently left her phone on during a voicemail message, and, without her knowing i could hear every word she said clear as a bell, i heard about 5 minutes of her bashing me to someone, talking about how stupid and dumb i am, then talking about how poor i am and "what is she going to do with a baby?" (im pregnant).
also, at work we have a lot of downtime. the boss is never around until the last hour of the day. there are 3 of us employees, and we each have a specific assigned duty between customers. after all our duties are done, we ALL - not just me - play around on the computer until a customer walks in.
my boss approached me and told me that it has been brought to her attention that i stay on the computer too much, and that i need to find something constructive to do during my downtime.
in the letter, i told her basically that from now on, i request that no one talk to me unless it is concerning work related matters, and that i am not the only one guilty of being on the computer for non-work related things.
i also told her that when i ask the other two if there is anything i should or shouldn't be doing, they say no, and when i ask for more responsibilities that they tell me that they already have a good system going, and they basically refuse to help me learn what they already know from being there longer than me.
was this dumb of me - - should i have just let it roll off my back, or was letting her know just how i feel an ok thing to do with your boss. i mean, she may be the boss, but she is just a person, just like me. right?

On one hand, better to write in letter so can not argue you say what you not say. Also good to get off chest when have problem and now boss know others not help with training etc. Sometime when confront in person can get very quickly out of control. Now boss have time to think about letter/complaint and calm down.
On other hand, now perhaps have to do more work, other worker mad you tell (even though tell truth) on them and last - boss may make excuse to fire you.
Still, sound like have bad boss and bad workmates so if get sack maybe find better job with better people. Hooray!!

A complaint letter to your boss about your treatment from your boss will make you look like a whiner. It might be difficult, since you are the newest face in your workplace to take charge, but you can always agree to be open to constructive criticism. Your boss has already established that you spent too much time in the computer, perhaps it is time to find some other thing to do that could make you look more instrumental, or necessary. (organize supplies, check files, make copies of whatever is needed, tidy up your work area and beyond, etc) keep trying to learn new things , your coworkers will miss a workday for some reason someday, you can cover for their absence. I have experienced very few bosses I liked, the rest were @$$ h*!3$, but they were a.h. for a reason. Work needs to get done and feel things are not in order when we goof off, newbies always are the first ones to take the heat.
I don't know if I could take being degraded by some condition such as pregnancy (I am a guy, but still don't like it)), I believe your boss crossed the line with that one, she might feel you will have some limitations with your job in the near future, and she is uneasy about having to exercise some flexibility with your duties, but she has no business in criticizing you for having a child.
I don't know about being mad for calling you dumb or stupid, I am sure she is dumb and stupid to somebody else. It is like the food chain, there is always some other thing that is going to eat you.
On another note, this will be crucial to learn how your boss reacts to your letter, if she calls you to her office, or counter (?) and try to work things out and have you work with her to see where things are going wrong, then she is a true profesional; but if all you get is a retaliation with negative reactions and does not try to talk with you about your inconformity in the work place, then she is in the wrong, she needs to work on her leadership skills. That is all I have to say about that. Good luck.

that's stable that Kris isn't the only working for place of work, yet as a public determine and sister of could be individual assuming the optimal place of work interior the land, her thoughts-set and all beside NOYNOY would be magnified 10x. that's in this context that Kris could desire to then behave and act as expert as ever. Kris is an smart individual, she could desire to apply her intelligence and wit in wooing extra votes for NOY. Given her media mileage and large earnings as a multi media megastar, Kris has each and all of the skill to shield herself and vindicate herself from her detractors. So how could desire to she be dealt with unfairly? There are even circumstances like the only now with Ruffa Gutierrez, who has left the station that has saved her after her failed marriage, and her mom, Annabel Rama, who continually says what she thinks even whilst needless to say she is interior the incorrect, that she says sorry even although she has executed no longer something incorrect. You gotta admit, she's extra good than maximum individuals, extremely extra effective than those people who do issues just to get interest. Kris would not could desire to try this, she has a brilliant number of interest.

Darling, you'd best be looking for a job. This is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of an employee doing, you wasn't quiting that day. You asked, I gave my honest opinion.

Well..... It's never a good idea to put negative things in writing. It becomes part of your permanent record, and with employment being "at will" they will probably then find a way to terminate you. Harsh, but true.

I admire you’re courage to stand up against your boss but I think it is better if you have said it personally. Written words can express a lot of meaning.

No I think you did the right thing. But you may get fired. But it sounds like you don't really like your job anyway so might as well look for someone who is nice and caring

Make a copy of the voice mail and of the letter and of any other type of "evidence" for future use if needed. Personally, I'd take her to court for work related abuse.
