What are your favorite apple varieties?
Since apples are ultimate fast-food, wash'em and eat'em, which varieties really hit the spot for you?
I prefer tart varieties like Granny Smith, but I'll admit they're not for everyone.

Granny Smith is also my choice for baking and eating raw. But I'm also fond of Golden Delicious for eating raw, and juicing. Also Jonathan apples for stuffing with a streusel and baking.

I'm with you on Granny Smith. Golden Delicious are also good during prime season (fall). Not a big fan of McIntosh, Red Delicious, or Red Rome.

Macintosh and Granny Smith are my prevalent style of apples. I additionally like Gala and Golden scrumptious, yet on condition that they are shrink. I actual have in no way tried any SweeTango apples. Are they good? i actually dislike purple scrumptious!! So sour.

I personally love all apples. My favorite are the pink lady apples though.
They're big, fresh and juicy. They're also delicious with some cinnamon sprinkled on them and/or dipped in caramel.

I like the sweet-tart variety, like gala or red prince. I have to really be in the mood to eat one of the really popular ones like red delicious - they look good, but they've got a mushy texture...
