Ricky Rubio going back to Spain?

Rick Rubio as told to El Pais Press "Right now I wouldn't rule out at all returning to Spain. It's surprising that, aside from me, they choose another point guard at No. 6, but let's see what they want. It's a team that would even wait a year for me, so we'll see if I come over next year or not."

What would be your opinion of Rubio if he decided to return to Spain? I thought he was a good as gone at No.4 to the Kings... I think he did too.

I don't know, I don't really like it when players try and pick and choose which teams they are willing to be drafted by. That is part of the reason Kobe made such a bad initial impression on me.

This is a little bit different. He came over when he still had a contract with his European team. He has to pay a portion of the buyout if he want to play in the NBA, so I can see why he is being particular about where he plays. However, I think he is being a baby and should just sack up and be a man. Go to the NBA, play for the team that drafted you, and give your full effort. That is what a professional athlete does. It's a business and you don't always get to call the shots.

I think the rhetoric coming from the Rubio clan is not making a great impression on NBA fans. I can see why he is a little confused by the Wolves taking 2 PG's. I think most people are a little perplexed by that. I think he is trying to encourage the Wolves to trade him. He doesn't want to play there and is trying to force their hand. I don't think he'll go back to Spain, but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong. LOL.

i think rubio should have gone 2 or 3 and i dont see why the t-wolves would get flynn at 6. Rubio is a great player and i could see him as one of the elite PG in the NBA in a few years.

He's young and he's just reacting to not getting what he wanted. He wanted to go to a big market and play in a "big city". He didn't expect to go to Minnesota which is cold and is not a huge market.

I think the 'Wolves will trade him or wait a year for him to make up his mind.
