When I work out I get these painfull cramps and shin spints in my legs. What can I do?

To relieve the pain, and to make them stop.

    Cramps are often a sign of dehydration.

    Drink more water, not only during the workout, but all day, before and after work outs. Also, Keep in mind coffee & alcohol are the enemy and will dehydrate you. Limit these as much as possible. Especially on the day of and even the day before your workout.

    i used to get that all the time. the only things you can really do is ice your leg and try not to run on really hard surfaces such as cement. thats what usually causes shin splints. i would also suggest you taking some pain killer.
