Stain it?? No..but leave deposits of minerals in your urine probably..but then so will most water that isn't softened.
We don't flush every time either...usually at night if we get up to use the bathroom we don't flush until after the morning wee. Of course solid matter does get flushed. I don't have a problem with staining since the city started to soften the water before it gets here.
If you do have some mineral deposits that gather...use White vinegar to remove them. Pour about a cup into the bowl and let it stand for a couple of hours at least...the bowl will come out clean and sparkling. No chemicals to harm cisterns or septic tanks and no fumes from cleaning products.

In my experience, leaving urine in the bowl can lead to an accumulation of mineral, or mineral like, build up that can only be removed with a chemical cleaner. I wouldn't call it a "stain" because that implies that it can't be removed at all, but it definitely does leave a residue.
If your wife is the person who gets the job of keeping the toilet clean, perhaps you should comply with her wishes. If, on the other hand, you handle that particular cleaning task ....

Try adding Comet cleanser or Comet Gel. (w/bleach) Swish the Comet around for a few seconds, then let it set in the toilet for a while. Flush the toilet & the stains should be gone. If not, repeat with the Comet again. Clean your toilet daily with Comet, to avoid staining in the future. I like the gel, because I can squirt it under the toilet rim & scrubbing with a toilet brush is easier that way.

so two wees becomes two weeks! "paris in the the spring" put bleach in the cistern and do two jobs at once, i believe the ditty was if it's yellow let it mellow if it's brown flush it down, a lot of GPs are of the opinion that due to the decline in the quality of water in the UK, they would prefer to have their patients urine in their brandy or whiskey, as opposed to the boards water, because at least it has has the benefit of being filtered through the patients kidneys first, to remove the toxins, and therefore will be somewhat more purified.

Left overnight or for two or three WEEs won't hurt the bowl. Leaving it for two WEEKS might, but even then, nothing which wouldn't come off with a brisk brushing with a toilet brush.

I think it will if it left to foment for a long period, even if left for a long period with no flushing,it could and should be easily cleaned off with bleach.I know for a fact dripping water can stain an old bath, but that's not the same material.Hope i have helped

Yuck! Yes, leaving such matter in a toilet bowl for more than 2 weeks will stain the bowl, not to mention the health hazard from the growing bacteria/germs. Flush it!!!

Of course it will stain the bowl. Plus how can you or her use a toilet that hasn't been flushed in weeks! It must smell awful, Please if you have to save water find another way to save it. Flush please!!!

Not flushing every time you use it will lead to staining. Your wife is right.
