feeding my new boxer puppy?

hey everyone i was wondering on this 8 week old who I brought home last night, is there any certain amount I should feed him? should I leave his bowl empty for a certain amount of hours? should I always keep food in his bowl? will he overeat and get fat? just give me a brief synopsis.

also, he has pooped and pee'd about 6 times each today. is that normal?

is there a certain amount of meals he should get per day? thanks in advance

    Water = All the time

    Food = 2x - 3x a day, never leave it all the time, figure out what he needs a day, then break it into 2-3 meals, feed at the same time everyday, leave it for 15-20 min, whatever he doesn't finish, throw out, somedays it'll eat more or less depending on how active its been, its fine.

    How much a day all depends on his weight, on the back of the food or on its website, it'll suggest how much due to its weight

    It will pee & poop a million times a day until its 4-5 months & even then it will go a lot compared to an adult dog, little pups = little bladders

    For dogs of boxer size the rule of thumb most breeders follow is 3cups a day for a puppy, broken into 3 feedings of a cup each. This can go til he is about a year old. Most dog foods bags recommend more than you will need, the more you use, the more they sell. Once he reaches 1yr, you usually go down to 2 feedings a day a small one in the morning & a bigger one in the evening, the amount based on his energy level.
