Who Else here think that the Beatles has retarded songs?

Question

I personally am a fan of the Beatles. I love all of their songs and own almost all of their albums except for i think Abbey Road. But i am a complete Beatles Freak. Well at my church last sunday, i was sitting there talking with some girls about our favorite bands. ONe of the girls asked me what my favorite band was and i said (of Course) The Beatles. Then all those girls started talking about how great the beatles are. It really, really, really pisses me off when people these days just say they like the beatles just because they think its cool to listen to the oldies when in fact they have only heard no more than one song or less from the band. And then when they actually hear a song like yellow submarine, they are thinking, "What the crap?!? This is a retarded song!" And then you tell them it is the beatles and they are like, oh, well, i love the beatles, just not this song. I really hate it when people just act like they like the 60s and the 70s just because they think it makes them unique. It also pisses me off 10x more when people say that the Beatles is a "happy" band. With all these happy songs. They are in fact not. They have a bunch of songs about killing things and being sad and losing a loved one etc...

I am of the opinion that the jackasses that don't listen to the beatles and just say they are obsessed with them just to seem cool should just really shut the **** up! 

Have you known any one like this? If you do, don't you agree? 


ps... don't say that i'm doing what i'm saying not to do. Because if it seems like it, i'm totally not trying to be that way. I love the beatles and i'm not a poser.

unusual remark... Hmm, perhaps the situations they're a-changing? Or do you think of that's the individuals?  there continues to be relatively a handful of folk praising the Beatles on right here- often their comments revolve around the "i like the Beatles as a results of fact they are influential and there could be no rock music without the Beatles" style element... lack of understanding ends up in undeserved compliment? So i've got faith that countless human beings think of their music is extraordinarily mediocre (or have not even bothered listening to it, quite), yet nonetheless bathe them with compliment reason nicely... they are arguably the biggest band in musical history.  and due to the sheer form of folk who've that desirable, i think of the Beatles have it o.k., that's why there at the instant are not any sorry thoughts from me. you at the instant are not incorrect in asserting that on R&P they get bashed lots. So i think of my argument greater so applies to society as an entire, quite than R&P... Oh nicely BQ: right here Comes the solar

I'm pretty surprised that you claim to be a "complete Beatle's freak" yet you don't own Abbey Road, which was pretty much a masterpiece. And I understand what your saying, but I think a lot of it has to do with age. Most of the younger generation hasn't really been all that exposed to them.
