Who was Farrah and Ed,.?

I think it is a shame that Farrah and Ed are being eclipsed by this. It is sad that they passed. I think more than anything the attention is drawn toward Michael Jackson simply because he has always been somewhat of a curiosity and his death was unexpected. As sad as it was to hear that Farrah passes away, she was battling cancer and Ed was 80+ years old so his passing can't be too surprising. At 50, someone passing away under what seem to be less than natural circumstances is always going to draw attention. Add to the fact that Jackson has spent most of his life in the spotlight and that is probably the most famous and recognized celebrity on the planet and there is bound to be attention. I think few people could have died on the same day as him and drawn attention away from him. It would have had to be something huge like the President dying.

Love him or hate him, Michael Jackson was one of the most recognized people in the world (not just the U.S., but the entire world)... and not just for his more recent oddities. The fact of the matter is, for better or worse, his death is not something people are just going to ignore because a few other celebrities happened to die around the same time.

PS, Farrah and Ed weren't the only recent deaths, either. David Carradine's funeral was less than two weeks ago.

Michael is not a bad person and he is famous worldwide because he doesn't write songs about himself.he wrote music about the children who are not cared about and the children who were forgotten about and farrah fawcett has died due to something that was her fault Micheal Jackson did not and Micheal Jackson started when he was about 5 years old and he is known as the king of pop and inspires all pop singers now do you see my point

Well his children need the money. They can't smooch off of their Uncles and Aunts.
