Regarding MTV and Michael Jackson?
I may be wrong, but from what I understand, Michael Jackson's Billie Jean video help boost the popularity of MTV. MTV (the original, not the spin-offs, has barely showed anything on Michael Jackson since his death. Don't they owe him more than a few hours of coverage? The news channels covered more than MTV did. What do you think?
Look4ans. I understand what you're trying to say, but the point is that it's MTV that should be having the 24-hour coverage on his life and death, not the other way around. MTV probably wouldn't even be around if it weren't for him.

mtv isnt about music anymore,thats why.reality tee vee is all they do!~

Yeah, for Billie Jean - Michael Jackson was the first african american to be on MTV because of it. Actually they played his videos from Thursay to Saturday. They are also going to have a special of his life wednesday or thursday at 10.

Why would they have to owe him? They may have honored him another way because so much media has coverage on it.
