My dog has a pink nose. I heard that only purebreds have the black nose.

It doesn't matter what colour nose your dog has - whether it's "standard" black, brown or pink, your Labrador is purebred. As long as it's a Labrador, it's obviously purebred.

The black nose is considered more desirable, according to the breed standard but many purebred, non-show, non-breeding quality Labs have pink noses.

Well Pink noses are disqualified by the AKC.
But that certainly doesn't mean your dog isn't a purebred.

sure, your puppy is a purebred lab. it extremely relies on the thought that the mothers and dads are the two purebred. in the journey that your domestic dog is finished black, doesnt have the different colour than black, it is totally probable purebred. yet this has nothting to do with its mom being yellow, and pa black.

umm, thats false, although AKC want yellow labs to have black noses, some do have pink, i have a AKC registered yellow lab, and her lab is completely black, i am a breeder and i do prefer black noses, but some do have pink and this doesnt mean they are not purebred.
