Through the Fire and Flames is the hardest. There's an achievement for beating it on expert and they did it, because it's the hardest. That might be a bonus song though. If it is then any of the songs in the very last tier are hard.

I just played Guitar Hero 3 last night for the first

I would say One-Metallica i have gotten 5 stars on it very many times. Its the riff before the solo and the solo that catches everyone it was the hardest song for me to beat because i always needed star power just to pass the solo because its the fastest solo in the regular setlist and close to the hardest riff. but if bonus songs were allowed it would be though the fire and flames!

Everyone so far has said through the fire and flames, but if you actually read the question it says "bonus songs don't count" and through the fire and flames is a bonus song.
