Do you think there would be an uproar if there was a White Entertainers & Television awards night?

yeah i dont get why their is a black awards but no white awards....and all the other award shows are for both people so why do they also need their own??? I just dont get it...

If people are angry that there is a Black History Month, something created in the fricking 20s when there was still segregation and MLK Jr wasn't even born, people will complain about ANYTHING. I think you are referring to the BET awards. There were several whites who attended and presented, and Travis Barker performed. You can consider the Country Music Awards the WET awards since when I watched that I didn't see a single minority.

No, it is called the BET awards because the name of the network is Black Entertainment Television. It's not called the "Black People Awards". They'll probably alter the channel name if people like you keep whining. Try writing to VIACOM, the WHITE owners of the channel, and tell those white people they are racist.

There is no "race" month. Black history month is referring to African-Americans, which is considered an ethnicity (not all blacks are African American). There are Irish, Polish, and Jewish History Months. I'm pretty sure those people are white. And of course St. Patty's day. Perhaps we wouldn't have to have Black History Month if blacks had been acknowledged in history textbooks in the first place

Everywhere on Tv is either for both white and black, or its just for black. I don't understand it. I watched Soul Train, another all black award show and they said there is still stuff left to change? like what? They already have a month to themself,5 holidays to themself,and 2 channels,and award shows to themself. White people don't have that and if they did they would be called racist and would be sued. Whats left to change? Do they want to take over or something?

Slavery was 1000's of years ago. And black people used black slaves too. It wasn't just white people. And that wasn't even white people in our generation so why does it even matter now. If black people would stop shooting and stealing white peoples stuff, then calling us racist that would be great. ( :

Are you kidding? Anything that has the label "White" in front of it would be considered racist. Why? Well, it's because we are a majority and for some reason that means we have to be inclusive of everyone. It's perfectly fine for minorities to discriminate though. Welcome to the double standard.

Of course. If white people try to get recognition or have something like a White Americans month .... they're considered racists. It's bull crap because there are TONS of white people who did amazing things for the world who don't get an entire month or even a day for themselves.

yes, and where I live whites are the minorities as they are in many, many cities and states across America.
