Suggestions:

1. To prevent getting viruses, make sure that you know what you're downloading and from where (trusted, more frequently used site are less likely to have viruses on them), and don't click flashing banners).

2. Get a Mac (though they still CAN get viruses, they don't have as many)

3. Try to get ""free"" help/advice from a store (eg. BestBuy's "Geek Squad"), to see if they can identify the virus or if it is "even" a virus at all)

4. If you've set a restore point (even if you haven't, there MIGHT be an auto 'restore point' on your system) then go to that restore point VIA:

Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore

5. If all else fails (MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR SYSTEM IF YOU'VE GOT IMPORTANT THINGS... eg. get an External Hard Drive from somewhere like BestBuy) and then basically reinstall Windows!... Ouch (though not that hard... It's tedious, because you've got to redo ALL of your settings, etc...)

Well if you haven`t got the software to deal with it, you`re going to have to download some, or ruin your pc.
