What are some classic preppy brands?

YES! Finally someone who knows that Fitch and HCO are fakes! Anyway, try Tommy Hilfiger and Lacoste. Lacoste is one of my favorites, but it doesn't beat RL. :)

Lily Pulitzer is also a good brand, but only for accessories. The clothes tend to be too bright for me. Other great brands Marc Jacobs (just for some edge), Calvin Klein, and Micheal Kors. I LOVE his wedges! Those brands are also better used as accessories, swimwear, and coats. Oh yeah, and C.&C California is also a good brand. They're like Hollister, but millions better. As far as bags, Coach would be my top brand. For department stores that carry these brands, try Neiman Marcus or Saks Fifth. :)

classic preppy brands are not that overpriced junk like abercrombie. More like jcrew, ralph lauren, etc.

Yeah, personally Ralph Lauren wouldve been my first answer too. Atleast here in the south, Tommy Hilfiger is more appropriate for those who prefer to dress in the urban/hiphop type of style, although you occassionally see men wearing a nice TH dress shirt or slacks.

Classic preppy? Does that mean your going old school? Then shop at Macys. They are like 150 years old.
