Question for mature women regarding menopause.?
I haven't had a period since last Nov. (6-7 mnths) and then all of a sudden...I'm having one.(full flow, going on 4 days now). My doctor has told me I am "post" menopause or in menopause, NOT perimenopause. Can a 'random' period like this happen and if so is it normal?

You are not officially in menopause until you have gone two years without a period. It is quite common to skip for a few months then suddenly have a period.
Peri menopause is the time leading up to menopause and periods can still occur while hormone levels are fluctuating.
Menopause is only defined in hindsight as it means the final period.
