Did he retire? If not, why do you think some team didn't take a shot at him. Great number last year for the Cubs.

No, Jim Edmonds would have done better. The one upside with Edmonds he will give you veteran presence and a good glove. Edmond also could have had maybe with 123 ab 7 HR 25 RBI and a .256 avg.
Jim Edmonds is retired. He would have been a good pickup for any team.
