You can't upload either (photos or video) straight to your blog from your computer. Both need to be uploaded and housed / stored on the internet first. So to put a photo or a link to a photo into a blog post, you would need to open a Flickr or ImageCave account first, upload the photo there, then paste the URL to the blog. For video, I guess there's YouTube.
