Alright, enough is enough now?

I am calling the cowards out.

Why is it that certain members of this forum are content to sit in scathing judgment of our country while conveniently hiding behind the anonymity provided by the internet?

Could it be because they are just seeking attention? Are these cowards doing anything besides running their collective mouths?

Anything? Anything at all? Running for office? Organizing a rally or a strike? Offering constructive criticism geared towards radical change? Rallying the youth? Educating the masses? No?

Could it be our colleagues are unable to see that by their criticism and marked lack of appropriate action they are just as guilty as the governmental system which they criticize?

One member went so far as to say he could do a better job running the country than those currently in power.

I wonder if he book passage. Tickets going cheap now.

Again, commit to being a part of the solution or be prepared to deal with what is handed to you.

Update:

Well done Gosling. Wish there were more people like you in this forum!

Update 2:

True dat Julien! Dem so should just stay in their "motherland" and give we a chance! Steups.

Update 3:

Pelham, the best way to deal with you and your ignorance is to ignore you, so that is what I have decided to do. People like you come and go, but those of us who are true Trinbagonians will always remain.

People like that are truly ignorant. They should really go back to their motherland and stay there, and not worry about trinidad AT ALL. The member who said he could run trinidad better than those currently in power, should give it a try and lets see how easy hes gonna have it. Ignorant people like that, need to realize that they need to give us trinis a chance. Other people, think that all trini's are good for is PARTYING and fete'in whole night, When thats not true. They need to step back and see how we trini's can handle things. :)

Aight I understand and I agree with the intent of your post, however this is a forum that people use to voice their opinions. The folks you mention do seem to enjoy stating problems (from afar apparently) without offering anything remotely resembling a solution.

    I personally believe that:

    1. You do have a voice, it's called a vote! Vote in every single election that is held once you are eligible. If you don't vote do NOT complain, that was your opportunity to make a difference in the way the country is run.

    2. Please do not just make statements criticizing T&T and the way things are without offering a suggestion for fixing the problems, otherwise all you are is just noise.

my $0.02...thanks for the opprtunity to vent :-)

the people who say trinidad is not good only have talk..they come here to canada,u.s.a.,england and other places over the world and assume

that our little trinidad should be like these places cause in their minds it is good, they don't tell you of the hunger, crimes, unkindness, poverty,

and the fact that for example the city of mississauga ontario in canada

which I lived in for 15 years has the amount of people that the whole of trinidad has and the same amount of crime...now I live in a different city

with less crime...now this is canada ,but they come from the .us. and

that is a place that lives on crime, england is the legend of crime, and all have bad governments...

so I think that Pelham should just look in his own back yard, and then talk..and barracuda you are not 9 years old, that is what you have to be

if you are a third grader...

home to me is trinidad no matter how bad they say it is,I love my country,no matter where I live....

my dear don't get angry these people who say things are just liars to themselves..

i agree everyone has the right to there opinion but oo gosh man some ppl does make trini look more bad than it seems an to dove u are so right is only in they mind they think that things better in them foreign countries. look right now california broke as hell border drugs wars happening between the u.s an canada, brazings(they just firing bullets) on subways buses an the list could go on. i won't deny t&t has some problems but ppl from trini does act llike is only trinidad does have it

I do not run for office, as I would not put my family through that.

But do vote, very regularly, all local elections and have for almost 30 years.

Have been to rallies, helped organize them and was a helping teacher for both my son's classes for as long as I could to help educating our youth. Both of my son's are registered, and have voted.. they give their friends crap for not "growing up" and doing what they should as well. For an average American I do what I can, maybe not as much as I should, but am active in the part that is mine to be responsible for.

Source(s): Hoping to be part of the solution and willing to go through crap to get a solution..

J you know "it" going and come here and rant the same vomit over and over, look out for level cuss in your inbox etc.

still after all this time these arm chair critics sit behind the keyboard and dish out their trash 'cause it is easy to do. not once will they find a way to contribute to make a change.

to date i eh read about 1 solution to our problems, nooooo just throw dem hands in the air and say T&T nasty backwards etc. Sad fact is these very same haters run back "home" when the going gets tough in their new found "motherland".

lol, i agree with all you have said.´(op).

Barracuda: If a third grade student from the US could fix things in Trinidad and Tobago, maybe that same child should fix the problems the us is facing. stop being a child, in fact ask your mommy to change your diapers cause it seems like you have been sitting in a dirty one for weeks, hence the reason for being rude.

I think no matter what country you live in there are always going to be people that hide behind internet, talk shows, radio whatever to voice their diassaproval/hate/bitching. It takes a strong person to stand up and not only voice their opinion but to stand behind it and not recant when things get difficult.

Don't beat yourself up- afterall for the people you refer to I think this quote applies: ignorance is bliss. Live above AND beyond that frame!

because it seems like if dey was to say it out in the open dey know dey would get some good cussing. is a wonder why dey dont come down here and say it out loud and clear for everyone to hear?

if dey seekin attention dey did a good job at gettin it.

I find your misplaced passion quite amusing. If you were not so obviously blinded and mislead I would venture to say that you might have a good brain in your head.

The whole purpose of this forum is to remain anonymous. No one with sense comes to a place like this looking for friends, just to air their opinions. You have yours and I have mine and I am entitled to mine. Don't like it? Tough.
