Why do you environmentalist have to but in.?
Why do you feel the need to try and change the nickname for West Virginia? We are the Mountain State and will stay that way. These hippies tick me off almost as much as those PETA people.
Hey Brad WCHS news reported this on their noon and 6'o clock news yesterday. Look at how much the coal industry has done for this state. It brings in a lot of money and jobs to this state. Hey if these people want to change the name I hope the $100 grand prize is worht it.

What are you getting at. i'm not what you would call an environmentalist-I care for my environment, but I'm not an extremists. I'm also a West Virginian. I'm going to assume you are referring to those protesting against mountaintop removal coal mining. Do you not understand that if the coal companies are allowed to continue there will be no more mountains. It would not be the mountain state then would it? It would be the land of reclaimed plateaus and man made ditches.
Who is trying to change the nickname anyhow? I haven't heard of this.

I'm glad we have environmentalists who lay it all on the table to save us and our planet. What state do you think the world would be in without them? yes, some are extreme, but if they get the job done, I'm backing them!!
