Why is it more important to the media,10 minutes on Michael Jackson and one on missing soldier in afghanistan?

does it not disgust anyone else that a dead pop star is more important to the media than a u.s.soldier captured by the taliban who will more than likely (really torture him) and then behead him for Al-Jazera to broadcast for the arab world to celebrate? When will the liberal media realize that we are at war for the very survival of free society instead of a world-wide taliban style government which is the ultimate goal of radical terrorists and their followers.

I noticed this today as well. It is horrible that a U.S. Soldier has been kidnapped and is possibly being tortured at this very minute. All we can do is pray for him and his family. I really hope he will be rescued safely and the taliban will be stopped soon.

Micheal Jackson was a celebrity and people are curious. However, I believe if people were to rationalize the fact this soldier is missing because he is fighting for our freedom just like the many others who have been fighting, still fighting, or lost their lives fighting, they would want something to be done about this.

Why surprised? The same would be the case if it were you vs. MJ.
