Elvis.. The King of Rock-N-Roll....without him, when would Michael have had his chance? Elvis set the pace. Michael just stepped it up to the newest generation of the time.

But.. legacy... Michael will go down in history with a bigger legacy because he is from the video era whereas Elvis was from the radio era.

I really don't know much about Elvis

Elvis genuinely revolutionised music. All Michael jackson's fans keep saying he revolutionised music, but I can't see how. His music was mainstream and safe. Music would be exactly the same today had he never existed. As for this king of pop nonsense, nobody whatsoever called him that whilst he was having hits. The phrase only appeared in the last few years when he was a has-been and it originated from MJ himself so I'd ignore that. Elvis really was called the king of rock n' roll when he lived. I don't think Jacko's legacy will stand up. Give it a few years and we'll see.

In the eyes of the world MJ without a doubt.

Elvis never wrote a song or performed outside of his comfort zone the USA.

i think Michael was greater because his fans were mre widespread than Elvis plus i think that the message in MJs songs were more humanitarian. And also MJ is the celebrity who gives the most money to charities. tens of millions i think.

But I personally think that Michael Jackson was better. He was around longer and he's certainly original. His songs were great. He'll be missed very much.
