What's so special about seamed stockings, my BF wants me to wear them all the time.?

Question

My BF ask me a few months ago to wear stockings with the seam, he calls them cuban heels and French heels. So I did and they look nice and feel good so I was okay with it. Recently he bought me several pairs (8) of stockings different colors & styles and garterbelts. I was surprised how much he payed for it and yes I felt good that he gave me this as a gift. Only now he ask me to wear the seamed stockings when ever we go out for dinner, friends or shoping. First I never notice that people looking at me and in serveral cases I thought guys taking photo's with there phone when I start wearing the stockings, I ask my BF and he told me because its a very classic look you don't see it to much. I must say they look nice and my BF who's is 11 year older gets in a very good mood when I wear the stockings and garterbelt. My question is it just the classic look or is there something else why people look at me when I wear the seamed stockings, for me I just like to make my BF happy and he seems to enjoy it when I wear them. Thanks you so much for your feedback, what I don't understand is why does the seam of the stocking get so much attension in a good or bad way. I like the stockings just confused why I get so much attension.

it's because majority of stores actually classify stockings as lingerie

they're often worn so you shouldn't be able to actually see the stockings, they're also made of nicer material. 
They are considered sl**ty if you wear them with like a jeans skirt of something as that's totally the wrong look.
they should be worn with generally a just on the knee cocktail dress, something elegant. I personally like it with the skirt suits by chanel but wearing an anne fontaine blouse with it and patent court heels.

It is about what is right for you. Any Halloween store will have the outfits. You will have no problem finding them. firstly you should be thankful that the bf likes stockings and not green socks, secondly as a red blooded male i too like stockings ( not wearing them myself )don't know why exactly but i think it goes back too the age when seeing above a women's ankle was a thrill and if you saw more than that.. well you guess the rest !
