Read some job descriptions for management jobs, see all the skills and abilities sections (universities are good places to browse job postings) and highlight those things that strike you as being something you are capable of. Remember, people look for "transferrable skills" in a new employee so you want to stress that even though you don't have direct experience you are such and such. For example, you are organized, a good communicator and fair-minded, all of which would be needed in a manager. If the person called you after reading your resume they obviously see potential so feel good about it and be enthusiastic to learn. If you show leadership skills you can learn to be a good manager.

you have to feel ready. Being in management means not only are you going to have to take care of the workers under you, but the rude and picky customers that the workers can't or won't handle. Also you should already know about those scammers and theives, you'll defintely have to be ready. It's all a mental thing, but as far as the job just make sure you get a good trainer not one of those lazy manager that does nothing. You should have a good walkthrough everything and ask lot of questions. As far as getitng the job just make sure you confident in yourself. You already had 6 years of retail make sure you apply all you skills to use. There should be nothing that they can ask you that you don't already know.

Since they approached YOU about it, my guess is that they have had poor luck finding someone who is tremendously experienced to take the job. And I know that for the job I am hiring for right now, I would rather have someone with the right attitude and energy than someone with a lot of prior experience. Everyone needs to start somewhere, and this may be your opportunity. Go for it!

it relatively relies upon on the region, yet since its in a warehouse as antagonistic to a business enterprise place of work, you probably get greater freedom in decision of garb, yet in simple terms dont overdo it.
