My BMW 3 series has a broken power window... HELP!?

The passanger side power window is broken in the down position. Dealership is closed due to the Holiday weekend. Is there any way to close the window until I can get it to the shop?

Thanks!

Update:

It's a certified pre-owned... will the warranty be null & void if I take it somewhere other than a BMW dealership?

Likely the window regulator has broken. Having it replaced elsewhere won't void the warranty, but the repair won't be covered by the warranty either.

It may be possible to manually guide the glass into place while a friend works the window switch. Or, if you remove the inner door panel and peel back the vapour barrier, to similarly help the glass up. Having someone do that won't void the warranty. Just make sure you don't break anything else while you're doing it!

Not sure which model/year of 3-series you have, so I can't help you with a more specific how-to. I'd suggest searching bimmerforums.com for more information.

yeah its the window regulator. best thing would be to have someone at the window switch and u try to pull up the window by hand.

check you fuses, or go to any "car audio shop",and ask them if they can close it for you, they know alot about carwindows regulators and switchs

do not go to fancyplaces like circuit city or good guys,go more in like

''small own bussiness car audio shop '', they more than likely that can help you.
