What is the point of yahoo points? Please answer.?

Points and Levels are another way to keep track of how active you (and others) have been. The more points you accumulate, the higher your level. As you attain higher levels, you'll also be able to contribute more to Yahoo! Answers - you can ask, answer, vote and rate more at every level

(Sign up you received100 Points) Answer your limit of questions each day (2 points each)

Get an answer chosen as best answer (10 points each) Receive a Thumbs up for your Best Answer 1 Point per thumbs up, up to 50 count

Vote your limit of unresolved questions each day (1 point each)only one vote per question, anyone at any level can vote.

You also get a point once a day for signing in

When you ask a question it costs 5 points, so it's better to answer

Choose a Best Answer for your question 3 Points, You can choose a best answer to your question after it has been posted 4 hours, any level can choose best answer to a question they ask.

Receive a violation -10 Points

Unsuccessful violation appeal -10 Points

Ask a question -5 Points

Delete an answer -2 Points

Level 1: 0 – 250 points

Level 2: 250 – 500 points

Just depends on if you find yahoo answers entertaining or not. You get more privileges the more points you have and you can ask more questions in a day.

I find Yahoo Q%A both interesting and entertaining not onlycan i provide answers to someone who needs help i can allso learn some things

As you get more points ( by answering and by being chosen for best answer ) people will likely trust your answers more. In addition, by level 2 you can rate answers.

if you dont have points you cant ask questions. also you get ranked by the amount of points you have. basically, the more questions you answer, the more points you get, the more questions you can ask.
