will a razor cut hurt my hair?

I just had my hair cut at the beauty shop but they did it with a razor will that damage my hair or cause split ends?

    If they did it right, with the hair wet, then it wouldn't hurt your hair. If they did it while dry, this could damage your hair.

    I have cut my hair wet with a loose double edge razor for years because I can not get my hair cut like I want it. With men s hair the beauty shops are like barber shops. They never were taught how to use shears on men s hair, and only use clippers. When I had a flat top in the 60 s that was ok but not today. It is not easy to stand in front of one mirror while looking in another and cut your hair in the back but at least it looks better than getting a police style cut with shears. clippers are ok on the neck as you do not use razors. If you know how to cut hair with shears email me.

    That's very weird.

    As long as it was sharp it won't do any damage though, its just like using a pair of sharp scissors:)

    um no? razoring is designed to make your hair look sleeker. i get it done to stop frizz

    i promise it wont it will make it look nice

    i did that and my hair looks good i could even teas it better and do better hairstyles

    it will cause allot of split ends my sister had done that and it caused allot of splitends
