Surfing Higgins Beach (ME)?
I read on surfline.com that surfing is prohibited (I believe they used the word blackballed) from 10am to 5pm anyone know anything about this. I am going up to Maine for our yearly family trip and was hoping to do some surfing on the way up since we stay North of Portland. Anyway around it? It seems to have the best waves from what I can tell looking at MSW and surfline.com, thanks.

higgin's is the balls. i live in boston but surf there during the mid summer.
hit the beach between 5-6 AM and stay till around 9 when the people show up. you will have a blast.
