Family business or the army?!?
I currently work for the family business but really not enjoying the 9-5 sat in an office all day. I'm more of an active person and really want to join the army (logistics). I'm also finding the pay isn't great and where I'm more of an active person I want more of an active lifestyle with many new experiences to look forward to.
1 snag - I'll feel mega guilty dropping the family business as it is family. But I want my family to be family and not my boss especially as I have been working for them since Year 7 (school). So i've been working for them for 7 years and just don't think its gunna get me anywhere in the long run Suggestions would be great.
I didn't really get much choice for working for them when younger as it was a way of earning pocket money. But the army has been my dream.
Pay is not good at 500 a month

well how do you know it's not going to get you anywhere if you don't try to make it successful and get somewhere so that you will get somewhere as well.
it's up to you to figure this out but just think of it, which has the highest chance of getting you somewhere business or army?

Well Lets Think this through;
♥-: You Go To The army And You Might Go to War And You Could Die,
And You Will Hardly Get To See Your Family,
♥-: You Get Paid Save Up Get A Better Job, Get a Better Lifestyle.
If You Choose To Go to The Army Explain To your family There Your Family They will Understand Im sure of it =]

It depends on where you live, but in general, you're not checked on at all, except for in some instances, mandatory testing. Where I live, you need to meet with a teacher twice a year. They don't test your kids or anything; they just write down what your kids have been learning. In some places, there is absolutely no contact with anybody. Usually the public schools have nothing to do with homeschooling. And judges and law officials don't have anything to do with homeschooling. As for your last question, do you mean they can do nothing until age 17, then study to do the GED? Probably not. If you meant can you just do your studying then when you're 17, do the GED, if you want. Homeschoolers can obtain high school diplomas, if they wish, but it's not necessary to get into college.

If you really want to go in the army then do so! Its what you want, yes you may upset family a little but if you just explain you wish to experience an do something different!

Do what you want to do. You will always regret it if you don't try to follow your dreams. You could go back to the family business if you find you dislike the Army

If you want to live then stay in family business and make money with the family or get punished and pay consequences for joining.

family is family, tho i couldnt wait to go trucking with my dad, and when the time came about it was great, if u want to join the army for the experience go for it, tho, life is great, even better with close family ties, tho u have ur own life, but dont shun ur family, try adding other things to ur lfestyle to add some action to keep u busy, like chasing butterflies

Exactly what you said here bring those points forward
Honestly is the best policy especially in families
You also have to honour yourself by being true to yourself
Talk to them you will be surprised what they think and feel

If the army is your dream and you don't like your job... why not?? My guidance teacher said "if your job isn't fun you are going to hate your life." He switched from being something boring to something he likes.... a teacher! So I say FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS!!! =D
