If aliens landed would you put a tinfoil lined hat on, just in case?

Why would I want to look stupid when I meet the aliens for the first time?

Rainbow Warrior XX, lets get real here. Aliens are unaware of the human existence. Do we really want them to think that we're worthless little creatures that run around with tinfoil-lined hats screaming "ALIENS ARE HERE TO ATTACK!!"

Meh. Not tinfoil lined, no....but if I were concerned about firepower I might snag an actual *helmet*, like a motorcycle helmet, and line it with Kevlar. o.o

No. I would BE the leader. I would kick them in the nuts (or thereabouts if they don't have any) give them a Glasgow kiss and then say "Hi! Guys! Welcome to the Big E! How can I help you?" They would then probably shoot me with ray-guns but I would die a hero.
