Open a new WORD doc
In the top left hand corner press the Office Button.
On the left will be a list of recent documents.
Open the file & click the Office Button. Then click Prepare & then Properties.
Locate where the file is stored so you can later delete it.
Save As & save it in your document folder.
Go to MY Computer where the file is located & delete the original.

Do you remember the file name? Do a search from the start menu just type in the file name or the first few letters. If not, check the Document folder under your profile(User) c:\users\[username]\documents . It's usually the default save location. This are Vista answers BTW. Good Luck

Just go here and search for your file.
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp
Another way, open the application where you did your work - if it is in MS Word, Excel or Powerpoint. Then, go to File menu. You'll see a list of recently opened documents there. Just open it there and save it wherever you want.

did you verify on your non everlasting folder? particularly some the time e mail attachments get stored to a non everlasting folder and named "OLK437b93db84b8079c2dd804a71936b5f" (no longer something like the unique report call). additionally, did you attempt to open it back up from the e mail? attempt that, see if the whole rfile is what opens, then do a "save as" to offer it the splendid call and placed it someplace you will locate it.
