Laptop also called notebook are computer that can cater wider range of programs compare to netbooks (mini laptops). Netbooks also lack hard drive such as CD or DVD. But netbooks are known with its quick downloads on multimedia stuffs.

So, if you are into surfing and chatting alone just go with the netbook. But if you have more programs to run on your computer it is better if you get a laptop or notebook.

    Laptop Vs Notebook Vs Netbook

Laptop and notebook are the same they usually have a 15 inch screen and above and can be as good as a desktop. A netbook is a lot smaller the biggest iust about 10 inches it does everything a normal laptop does it's just less powerful and more compact.

They are pretty much the same thing.. Although laptops tend to be bigger and heavier than a notebook. I own one of each and I totally love the notebook better!

Netbooks have NO cd drives or harddrives - you CANNOT load or store your software. You can purchase a separate drive to store your papers, etc. in your dorm as well as back up your work occassionly, however this can be more work than you might want to do. My advice would be to buy a notebook with a decent size harddrive. You can buy another portable HD and transfer some files if needed to free up space later.

The terms notebook and laptop are interchangable; just normal laptops.

Netbook is a term for very small/cheap laptops.

netbooks have the advantage of being small, light, longer battery life, and generally cheaper. Notebooks have the advantage of generally having a larger (more easy to see) screen, a larger keyboard (easier to type), and more processing power (applications load faster, videos are clearer/faster, and games play smoother).

    Hope this helps.

There is no difference. Netbook and notebook are just names incorporated to the laptop that describes its size. All of which are classified as laptop. Manufacturers only call it as a Netbook or notebook.

netbooks are the lowest spec computers you can buy. they were obsolete before they were built. laptops are notebooks but before they became thin so they are basically the same thing. they dont make laptops anymore. notebooks, if you get a mac, are as fast as 3.06 Ghz which is BLAZING fast since the average notebook speed is about 2.4 Ghz. so there it is
