They will make the playoffs, but will lose in the division series or championship series.

I can't predict that the Giants will make it to the Series, but I think that they have a better than even chance to make the playoffs. That is not being delusional, Kwa. The Giants have led the NL Wild Card race for most of the last month.
And they would be very dangerous in an NLDS series. Imagine Lincecum and Cain pitching back to back in a short series! The opponent would be down 2-0 before they even had a chance to breathe.
I think that the Giants have about a 75% chance of making the playoffs, and a 50/50 chance of making the NLCS this point (but we all know that things change all the time). The World Series is not out of the question, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I think they have a pretty good shot at making the playoffs. It really depends on a couple of factors. 1) Can the Giants make a good trade before the deadline to acquire a good bat. 2) Can the players on the team now continue to put up as good of numbers.
Also, to everyone who thinks the Dodgers will beat the Giants in the Divisional playoffs let me remind you that the Giants have taken 2 out of 3 series from the Dodgers. I'm not saying it won't be close though

What wins playoff series???? PITCHING!!! the Giants have the best pitching staff in baseball and their MLB leading era proves that! The biggest obstacle will be getting to the playoffs. I definitely think they have a shot. The front office needs to make a move though and make a trade that will give the Giants some pop in the middle of their order. My fingers are crossed.

they might. They seem to be better in the NLCS than in the NLDS. So if they win the NLDS they have a good shot at getting in. The World Series itself however, we don't have a great shot at winning because Im pretty sure we're cursed. Since they have the 2nd best record in the nl they probably wont play the dodgers in the NLDS, and if they do play the dodgers in the nlcs I think they'll win, because they tend to play good against the dodgers and in all time games against them have a winning record.

I'm afraid they won't even crack the playoffs this year although their lineup on paper makes me think otherwise
The fact is The Giants have a curse called the "Tanted-HomeRun-Record" Curse and they can thank Barry Bonds for that one, until the last Homerun ball he hit is destroyed, the curse will remain!!!

I don't even think they'll make the playoffs. The Rockies or the Cardinals/Brewers will.
I say they finish with about 85 wins.

San Fran is sadly going to loseto the Dodgers in the NLCS, or they will lose in the NLDS. But, they will probably lose in the CS. Oh, but,if the Dodgers lose in the DS, they will probably lose the World Series to the Yanks.
