Question about waxing...?

My friend helped me wax my arms last night but when I woke up this morning I had patches of red like there was skin missing. Will that skin come back? Also, if I waxed near a mole, could it cause cancer?

Update:

When i say 'red' i mean there is normal skin around it but there is a spot where its red and really smooth and super sensitive

well it depends what you mean by red, if it's normal red it should be fine, it also does take up usually the top layer of skin when you wax and the skin will "grow" back but it might be sensitive for awhile and no it won't cause cancer but you probably shouldn't do this anyway as it can really hurt the mole and infect the area, next time I'd go get it done professionally if I were you
