Country and western/bluegrass music that comes from Scottish and Irish music? Barbecue that comes from the Caribean indians? Cornbread from the southeastern indians? Bourbon whiskey made by the Scottish settlers? Cole slaw and sauerkraut from the Germans? All the sausages we eat? Nascar? Basketball, baseball and football were invented by white people. The language was invented by white people. I did not realize that Brett Favre,Jason Elam, Morten Andersen, Gary Anderson,Steve O'Neal, etc (NFL); Pete Rose, Rocky Colavito, Lou Gherig, Don Mattingly, etc. (Baseball) were "afro americans". Sorry all I know about Basketball is that Jordan is black and Byrd is white. I don't think that 'everything considered "American Culture" ' is "predominantly Afro-American derived." To start with do you mean EVERYTHING or do you mean PREDOMINANTLY? Predominantly allows for there to be some other things. Of course the Africans contributed a lot to American culture-as did the Europeans and Asians. That is what makes America a great country and gives us our strange culture. Just enjoy it!

Actually friends was one of the only american sitcoms to show interacial dating without ever even uttering the word black. They didnt steriotype at all the black woman was more succesfull than any male black or white in the show which for a 90s american sitcom is totally comendable

Most show are either mainly white main actors or mainly black actors. When there is a main actor of another race they usually play a ridiculous role.

I never got into that one.
There are alot of sitcoms that have only white or only black people from the US. I don't know of many that mix it up. Seinfeld i think had one "black" guy that Elaine was dating once, but he was dating her cos he thought she was Hispanic and she thought he was black but neither of them were. Good episode. But yeah, America still seems so segregated somehow.

I have no idea, because in reality, the sitcom was beyond overrated. I mean if Friends had that kind of reputation, Girlfriends, Martin, One on One etc should be that big!

one of the guys was dating a black girl on the show.. dont know what happend to her.. she didnt last long on the show and the relationship ended shortly after.
I seen black actors at the places they went to.. they were in the background or behind the food counter.

There is no problem with 90% of shows not having any minorities. But many people have a problem with the minorities then creating their own channel so there can be shows with them in it. Ironic.
