Because they only believe what has been written down for them. They are believers in what they can see and the bible is that for them. It is silly really because Jesus said in john 20:29 "blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

It's because all the people who believe in god are crazy people, half of them don't rely follow they just "buy there way to heaven" but whatever people can think that god is real and will answer there prays and all that bull but when it comes down to it there all crazy people who need to realize that he doesn't exist nor satin not heaven or hell. I'm Athiest and my religion does not affect the person i am, but i have noticed that Christians are the worst of them all, they are so judgmental and rude, and they can all go rot in the hell they believe in

Because the Bible is explicit about how Christ will come again. "Every eye shall see".

Also, there is no new or further revelation from God. He has said all He is going to say. Everything He wants us to know is written permanently in the Bible which eliminates us having to worry about whatever crackpots come along claiming to have a new revelation from God. God keeps it simple.

Just read His Word and you will have these answers you seek.

to further the question, if God doesn't visit ppl or call prophets and apostles today why did he stop? Christ came back several times after his resurrection (the 500, Saul who became Paul.)

Because they are irrational and have completely ridiculous and contradictory beliefs. FYI Most religions are started the same way, by amn in his mid thirties wondering alone into a desert to meditate and hullicanate before coming back.

The catholic church has a department to examine such claims. The first test is a full psychiatric assessment of the claimant!!

Read St. Paul's theology and you will understand. In Acts he (Jesus) sent us the Holy Ghost. He is our comforter in the post Jesus age. However, that does not preclude God from communicating with people today. That would deny his omnipotence.
