Ultimate music low...how can i feel better?

Question

(im 13) All i think about is music music music....my family even says its unhealthy how much i sit and play piano or sing. i dont want to do anything but make beautiful music, 

well, i posted myself singing on yahoo answers and everyone said i sound like a 7 year old even though im 13! They say to give up and that i'll never make it in the music biz. I've cried so much that now i have no more tears....life seems so bland and pointless without music...im literally going insane without it. 

cant think straight all i can think of is well that ^^
what can i do to help the pain go away and how can i forget....=[
there is no point in music if im no good, dont just say to get over it...music means more than i could ever explain.

Awh honey, I'll try to help.
Everybody loves music. Music is life. Just because a few people think you aren't good, doesn't mean you don't have potential. Keep trying! Don't give up, because if you truly did love music, NOTHING would stop you. Persevere! Work on your vocals, if need be. But, even if you don't become a big time singer, it doesn't mean you can't enjoy music! Just keep listening and keep trying!

OMG I know waht you mean. You are not alone 
I play piano, trumpet and sing
I listen to music 24/7  I cant live without it.. I would go insane. omg you so understand me .. My family thinks i am crazy. my zune mp3 player has over 2000 songs. I would die without songs.You a are soooo not alone.. 
All i can say is practice makes perfect. Try Try.. Don't let others bring you down... The Music bizz is all about self expression .. witch means others might not like your specific brand of expressions but i garentee someone will. just keep making your expression of your feelings heard.. ....You are not alone.

hey if you love music, you love music. nothing wrong with that. you have a passion. not everyone does. i dont. but i know people that do. it's cool. and just because people don't like your singing doesn't mean should stop loving music. that passion isn't dead. you might just have to express it in different ways. you said you play piano..that's one way..you could always write, and get paid, for other singers. people get rich off of writing..and most of them can't sing worth a thing. lol. i mean..you just have to find different outlets in music to give you your ''fix''. good luck though..my opinion is don't give up...but always have a ''back up''!

Relax, practice meditation, share your problems to an intimate one etc may be helpful. if not possible take a paper and write your feelings and read it many times. 

Understand that u are started living and has to achieve a lot. Good luck.

I agree with Babydoll here. No matter what anybody says, if music makes you happy, then do it. If singing all day is what you love to do, then do it. Don't let them bring you down. Practice and have fun.
