what ideal age difference should be btwn male n female?

i would say maximum of 5 years...

if a person is older than that....they would have a big generation difference and their relationship might not work out..

As far as I have seen, it really doesn't matter. See, people are generally set in their ways by the time they reach adulthood, and if a person's maturity level isn't good for their age by 20, it's generally not going to be any better when they're 40. For example, my last relationship was with a man who was 20 years older than me, and I left him because he couldn't handle his own life. No real job, lived in college housing, couldn't cook, huge fear of commitment... Basically an 18 year old trapped in a 45 year old's body. It's the same for women, however; my friend is 4 years younger than me and a mother with a degree and a wardrobe that would make Bette Davis jealous. The bottom line is think more about the person your potential mate is and less about what year they were born.

3 to 4 years is ideal based on the fact that females mature mentally faster than males do. If ages are same the female will be over mature and it may be incompatible. Of course, as always there can be exceptions and some very successful marriages have been where female is older than male also.

age doesnt matter so much

i ve seen happye couples where the difference was 14-20 years and i have seen also couples where age difference was 2-6 and those weren't so happye ...so age doesn't tell everything

I agree to what Linweh has said. Moreover, if they love each other then they automatically develop better understanding and can adjust well.
