mp3 to surround sound?
I have a mp3 collection. I want to write in to a DVD in surround sound (5.1) format. Is there any tool available for this?

You can't convert the MP3 to 5.1 surround. This is something that has to be recorded in 5.1 and burnt onto CD/DVD by the manufacturers in this high quality.
MP3's are compressed sound files which definitely will not be 5.1 surround. If you were to play one through your 5.1 system, your system is likely to split the left/right stereo channels all around and your sub will pump out the base.

I can't be to sure about that. The easiest thing that I can suggest is to record it to disc as stereo and play it back through a surround sound system.
If you could record it in surround, it will not sound right in an ordinary stereo. It will sound more like a "tunnel" effect for the music. If it is played on surround it will be too broken up through the splitting of different channels...Actually maybe not quite that bad...But not good either.
Hope this Helps!
