I vote The Who as the best "Rock and Roll" and The Beatles for their wide spectrum of original works. I wouldn't put Pink Floyd in the "Rock band" category as this is a bit of a generalisation. They are in another category namely "Progressive Rock" which I hate. I'd call them Timeless in a class of there own. (le; same as Queen class of their own) And this discussion of great bands can go on for ever.

The Who is my favorite band. Putting personal bias aside, however, I'd say The Beatles are the greatest band of all time.

LED ZEPPELIN. The Who are overrated, been shite since who's next and even that's no that good. No often i agree wi you ali ya numpty, but queen are a f u ckin, crackin band.
