What type of Biome is Newport Beach CA..and Why?

I am doing a project and I am confused as to what Biome Newport Beach falls under. I thought it might be Coastal Ocean but then another source told me thats all under water! I just need to know what biome is falls under and why!! Thanks

    It's a marine biome because it is an ocean and also a shore. There are 5 or some say 6 major types of biomes: 5 would be called "Aquatic" (covering both salt and fresh water environments), most break them up into two biomes - Freshwater and ocean - the other biomes are; desert, forest, grassland, and tundra to make 6 major biomes.

    Newport Beach fits the ocean biome because it is part of the Pacific Ocean and is of a Mediterranean climate.

    Newport Beach is definitely a marine biome, because it's not any of the other 5 biomes - simple as that. Depending on which grade you are in, it can become more complicated.
