Facebook, because I'm addicted to Pet Society. Ha! No, serious, I love Twitter, it's fun, quirky, has brought me in touch with some of my favorite writers. It's nice to post a fun link or a thought. But to actually be in contact with friends you don't see often, which is the main purposes of those relationship networks, Facebook is much better because there isn't a character limit. You can actually talk about your lives, share information, catch up. On Twitter that would take forever.

It depends on what you're looking for, I think. Facebook is great for catching up with people you haven't seen in a while, and all the apps are a good waste of time.
Twitter would be more for keeping in touch with people you know currently. I like it because I can post funny things that go on in my office so that other people can get a good laugh.

I have to disagree with those that say it has nothing to do with books and authors. It does have to do with books and authors. Many authors noweadays use both, so I'd say, yes, it applies to this section. I belong to author groups in Facebook and follow a lot of authors and bloggers I like via Twitter.

This has nothing to do with books and authors. Both, because they accomplish different things.
