Actually, they won't let you enter Hong Kong unless you had a proper document to enter their country, so my advise is to get a visa first and you're set to go without any hassles...

Immigration Guidelines for Entry to Hong Kong

Check out the entry visa/permit requirements for persons who wish to enter Hong Kong for leisure/ social/ business visits, employment, investment, training, education and residence.

No, it's not possible; they won't let you board an airplane without a visa.

Passengers arriving without the required documents or with incomplete or expired documents, may be refused entry and a fine of HK$ 10,000.-will be imposed on the transporting carrier. The carrier will be responsible for returning passenger to point of embarkation or place of origin.

You must apply for the visa at the Chinese Embassy in Accra.

What the Irish and American contributors have told is not true. Those citizens may stay as tourists for a visa free period of up to 90 days in Hong Kong.

You do not need a visa to enter Hong Kong, if you are asking about a China visa they are available at the airport for tourists going into China.

With a LOT of hassle I got one (i have an Irish passport) There was a few Irish w/o them, so we kind of stuck together on it, but there was talk of us not being able to leave the airport. They really frown on people not having them when they arrive, we just got holiday visas, so if thats what you're looking for, maybe, but do try and get one before you go!!

Source(s): my experience... I DID enter without a visa...was out in Beijing that night...got a visa at the airport wouldn't recommend the stress it caused but it WAS done
