Advantages to winning the Pennant the previous season?

Do you think or perceive that a team that has won a Pennant the previous year is more likely to get the benefit of a doubt on a close call more often than a sub .500 team?

I do not,I do think certain players do get benefits from Umpires though..A story I heard-Nomar was a rookie with the Sawx and Nolan Ryan was on the mound I guess for the Rangers at the time,Nomar took a close pitch and he glanced back at the Umpire who remarked "Son,that's a Hall of Famer on the mound, get your bat off your shoulder"..He wound up popping out after swinging at the next pitch.

Ted Williams would get calls because he had a keen eye for the strike zone.."Well,if Ted didn't swing it must have been a ball"..Jeter gets that now,Tony Gwynn and Wade Boggs got it as well.So no I don't think a whole team gets benefits but players do.

    No not at all.

I don't think winning factors into calls on the field...unless the umpire has a vendetta against the player or team and if thats the case they should lose their job.
