Why is my info no longer available?

My neighbor was working on some plumbing for me and I let his kid go online. He told me that there was a bright flash on the screen while he was on and when I checked the history I saw that he went to some porn sites. Now, every site that I go to (yahoo, my bank, phone company) does not remember my email, which they have done for years. I have Norton Security;but, could I have a virus? Why would every site have lost my email address? is it safe to re enter it and my passwords? I hope this isn't too confusing, and than you for any info.

This is a guess from left field, since I can't actually look at your computer: but it sounds like Norton Security may have deleted all of the saved cookies on your computer after stopping the porn sites from trying to download spyware or malware, OR the kid may have tried to delete the browsing history to keep you from knowing he visited a porn site but deleted all of the cookies instead.

It's not necessarily the sites that remember your email address, which I assume is used as a login. Yahoo, your bank, and other businesses like amazon place cookies into your computer so that they recognize you when you log in. This is how they memorize your password, log in name, your previous purchases from the site, and other information. (You may have seen the message, "Your computer/browser must allow cookies in order to log into this site.") If all of the cookies were deleted, whether it's due to accident or as a security measure by Norton, your email address and other memorized information will not show up on many of these sites now. It's easy enough to have your browser allow cookies again (click on "Options" under "Tools" on Firefox or IE): but I would second the first suggestion and run a full scan of your computer to make sure no viruses or malware are present, or damage to your hard drive has taken place.

IMHO, I would never let a website "keep" my personal information like credit card numbers, email and home addresses, etc. It's still too easy for hackers to get into these websites and steal your personal info.

determine 4 to 6 weeks after your refund is released earlier a transcript would be available. Your daughter can report her FAFSA with a signed replica of your federal return. Print out a replica of it, sign it, and supply it to her. she would be waiting to would desire to replace her FAFSA with the transcript after it is going to become available, yet she would be able to get the ball rolling with the signed replica.

I would recommend running a complete virus scan, and then reenter your info.
